We have arrived at Nelson now, a bustling town south west of Picton. Very floral, on a river and very continental with lots of restaurants with seating outside on the square. I'm having falafel for lunch- real food at last, and Mother and Fran have gone for something more traditional and meat based. I don't think I'll need any tea. If it were just me and Mum we'd have stayed here for a while, to browse the shops and wander the town, but Fran wants to press on. There is a lot of island to see. The weather so far has been overcast today but with the occasional sunny spell.
